Reentry Court Blues reflects the feelings of many after the premature closure of the San Francisco Reentry Court (Sept. 30th, 2011). The video presents a retrospective of the court’s environment. The court room is perhaps the most intimate in San Francisco. Approximately a dozen or so seats in the audience, program participants sitting in and along the jury box wall. Individuals appearing before the judge, seated at a small table no more than ten feet from judge and peers. Finally the bulletin board (brewed coffee and pastries just below) present a blurry fresco of images reflecting the history, accomplishments and efforts of those who were a part of this project. [ The pendant on the wall reads “It’s not court, it’s family”]
