The San Francisco Reentry Court uses intensive services to succeed with high risk offenders. For example the Reentry Court meets typically with participants on a once a week schedule, while they are in contact with case managers and engage in pro-social activities on a daily basis. Such intensive services are generally not appropriate for less serious offenders, and in fact may have a negative impact on the rehabilitation of low to medium risk offenders.
