I described in a “Series of Observations”, non-western alternative justice systems that exist around the world and how the most effective are often community based ( described as “Restorative Justice” in the U.S).
This new series called “NEW DIRECTIONS”, describes “Alternative Visions to Western Criminal Justice Systems”, seeking to show how traditional community-based systems can exist alongside current Western systems of criminal justice.
